Active Shooter Awareness
Guest Speaker: Terry Donald - Shelby County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Office
Location: Shelby County Emergency Operations Center, 1075 Mullins Station Road, C Building-113, Memphis TN
Terry Donald, a native of Memphis, Tennessee graduated from Memphis Technical High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and graduated from the United States Air Force (USAF) Non Commissioned Officers Leadership School and is a Gulf-War Veteran.
He was the Regional Emergency Services Director for the Mid-South Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Mr. Donald is a graduate of the Department of Homeland Security Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s Active Shooter Trainer Course, the FBI Citizens Academy Program as well as the Active Attack Integrated Response Course. He has also completed the Advanced Terrorism Liaison Officer training for Tennessee.
Mr. Donald’s is an accomplished speaker and facilitator for the Shelby County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Office, UASI (Urban Area Security Initiative), and Coordinator for the Shelby Cares Church Sheltering Program.
He received a certificate of training from New Mexico Tech in Incident Response to Terrorist and Suicide Bombings and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). He is certified in Search and Rescue and is a presenter of Active Shooter Training for the Shelby County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Office.
In this ever-changing world with its imminent threats to society, Mr. Donald has developed a mission and passion for providing preparedness information for groups to help them refocus and refine their strategies in prevention, protection, mitigation ,response and recovery to both natural and man-caused disasters.
Mr. Donald’s motto is (TEAM) Together, Everyone, Achieves, More.

The Mid-South Association of Continuity Professionals (MSACP) purpose is to provide an environment for members to share information about the business continuity and disaster recovery fields, improve their job performance through peer-to-peer education, and promote individual and business preparedness.
MSACP members represent a wide variety of industries and organizations throughout Memphis, Shelby County, and the greater Mid-South region. These include entertainment and media, banking and financial, transportation and shipping, health care, information technology and telecommunications, chemical and utilities industries, governmental agencies, private organizations, non-profits, plus educational and research institutions.
Membership is open to anyone interested in business continuity, emergency management, risk management or other similar discipline regardless of prior BC/DR experience.
